Thank you for considering us at Tampa Endodontics for your patient’s care. We deeply value the trust you place in us. When you refer a patient, we strive to be an extention of your quality of care and ensure your patient returns to your office happy, healthy, and grateful for your referral. This page is dedicated to outlining how our practice partners with referring dentists like you, and what you can expect working with us.
Our Commitment to You and Your Patients
We view the relationship with referring offices as a partnership built on mutual trust and respect. Here’s what you can expect when partnering with us:
Co-Diagnosis and Case Discussion: Not sure if that radiolucency on #19 needs a retreatment or if the symptoms on #7 are endodontic or perhaps sinus-related? Feel free to call Dr. Hamad for a quick chat. We’re happy to be a sounding board. Often a quick conversation can clarify the best course of action, whether it’s monitoring, us seeing the patient for evaluation, or a different specialist if indicated. We consider ourselves a resource for you.
Continuity of Care: After we complete the endodontic phase, we emphasize to the patient the importance of returning to you for the final restoration and ongoing general care. We make it clear that our role is specialized and they need to continue seeing their general dentist (you) for overall dental health. This reinforces your central role and helps ensure they follow up with you. We do not perform general dentistry, so rest assured – we will send them back to you for things like crowns, fillings, and routine maintenance.
Respect for Your Patient Relationships: We understand that when you refer a patient, you are entrusting us with one of your valued patients. We will never do anything to undermine that trust. Our team will treat your patient with the same friendliness and courtesy that they receive at your office. We aim to enhance their appreciation for you by reflecting well on the referral. Many referring dentists tell us that patients come back raving about how well they were treated and thanking the dentist for sending them to us. That’s the kind of feedback we love to facilitate.
Professional Collaboration: Dr. Hamad regularly participates in local dental study clubs and continuing education. He’s always open to collaborating on complex cases (for instance, managing cracked teeth that may need a crown and root canal – we’ll coordinate the sequencing with you). If there’s ever any question or follow-up needed, we will reach out. Likewise, if you ever have questions about a report or something post-treatment, please contact us. Open communication leads to the best patient outcomes.
Refer a Patient
Ready to refer or have a patient who needs endodontic evaluation? Here’s how:
Online: Use our secure online referral portal via TDO to send us the patient’s info and any radiographs. We will contact the patient within 24 hours to schedule.
or
Call Us: Call our office at (813) 444-5256 and let us know you’re referring a patient. Our front desk will take it from there. You can also email any x-rays to drhamad@newtampaendo.com or via a secure email if you prefer.
